World's hairiest girl

An eleven-year-old from Bangkok has received the coveted title of "world's hairiest girl".

Most eleven year old girls are proud of full heads of hair. For Supatra Sasuphan of Bangkok, Thailand, however, that hasn't until recently been the case. Sasuphan suffers (or benefits) from a genetic disorder that produces excessive hair growth on her back, legs, arms and - most noticably - face. Classmates would make often make fun of the child, calling her "monkey face" and "wolf girl". Fortunately the tables were turned when she was named by Guiness World Records as the World's Hairiest Girl. "I'm very happy to be in the Guinness World Records! A lot of people have to do a lot to get in. All I did was answer a few questions and then they gave it to me," said Sasuphan. She also reports that the bullying has subsided and her new title has made her "extremely popular at school."

Although it measures only 110 miles from the north to south and 200 from east to west, Bhutan - called by its people Druk Yul, "the Land of the Thunder Dragon" -- is home to a remarkable variety of climates and ecosystems. Essentially, the country is divided into three major land regions: plains and river valleys in the south; a mid-Himalayan (5,000 to 14,000 ft. high) area north of the valleys; and the mountainous lands in the Himalayas, which range from 14,000 to 24,000 ft. above sea level.

Hippies

The hippie is the one who embraces life to the fullest. Promotes peace, love and happiness, but sure as hell sticks up for what they believe in. Anyone can be a hippie, not just that dirty dread-locked tie-dyed pothead with the dead shirt on.

Pictures Of Tribes With Lip Plate

A lip plate, also known as a lip plug or lip disc, is a form of body modification. Increasingly larger discs (usually circular, and made from clay or wood) are inserted into a pierced hole in either the upper or lower lip, or both, thereby stretching it. The term labret (pronounced LAY-bret) denotes all kinds of pierced-lip ornaments, including plates and plugs.

Archeological evidence indicates that labrets have been independently invented no less than six times, in Kamchatka (8700 BC), Iran (6400 BC), the Balkans (5000 BC), Sudan (3700 BC), Mesoamerica (1500 BC), and Coastal Ecuador (500 BC). Today, the custom is maintained by a few groups in Africa and Amazonia. Some scholars have argued that in Africa, labret fashion boomed because slave traders refused to purchase slaves whose appearance was not considered "pristine" for the prospective buyers.
